Orthodontics for Adults

Many adults may think they have no real options when it comes to making their teeth and smiles more attractive. At Orthodontique, we are proving that’s simply not the case. We work on a regular basis with adults who want to correct issues such as crooked teeth, missing teeth, or bite problems. In fact, every year a larger number of our patients are adults.  Adult treatments may include braces, aligners, or  lingual Inbrace, sometimes in conjunction with jaw surgery, Maxillary Skeletal Expander (MSE), or Temporary Anchorage Devices (mini-screw implants).

Adult Braces

Although brackets and wires are often associated with children and teens, braces are an effective orthodontic tool for adults as well.  We work closely with our adult patients to fully explain how braces can correct common dental problems such as overcrowded teeth, gapped teeth, and overbites. Our adult patients can choose from a variety of different braces including metal, clear or lingual braces.

Spark or Invisalign

Spark® or Invisalign® aligner systems are a popular choices for our adult patients because the aligners are virtually invisible. Adult aligner patients use a series of custom-made aligners to gradually move their teeth into the correct position. Besides the aesthetic value, aligners are preferred by our adult patients because the aligners are removable, offering more comfort and convenience than traditional braces.   Aligners allow the patient to eat, brush and floss in the same way as they have always been.
